Ramadan Applications for Your Mobile Phone (Java Applications)

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar, is considered as one of the holiest months of the year. And by the end of the eighth month people prepare to embrace this holy month for fasting.

The Quran (97:1) states that it was revealed "on the night of determination," which Muslims generally observe on the night of 26-27 Ramadan.

During this Holy month therefore, the Muslim takes himself more assiduously to the reading of the Holy Book of Allah, the standing miracle of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the miracle which he stated would remain to testify to the authenticity of Allah's message even after he, Muhammad (S.A.W.) passed away.

As you observe the Holy month of Ramadan, here are a wide selection of applications that will help you experience this special season as it happens. You can access them all at the Ovi Store by simply selecting an application from the ones listed below and clicking on the download button displayed on that page.

So.. in the month of Ramadan, there is nothing wrong if we use mobile phones as a means of worship to remember that mobile phones are always things we take with us wherever we go. Here are some tips for our mobile phones can function optimally as a means of worship run during fasting.

1.Filling Application Qur'an

One common practice (or may be for some people) for running fast is to read the Qur'an. Read Koranic's also can be done through mobile phones, especially mobile java and operating system on it. Actually there are many applications for mobile Qur'an java, from a free to paid.. I only recommend two.

1. PocketQuran which can be downloaded at wap.pocketquran.com.

2. QuranReaderArabic, can be downloaded here.

2. Listen MP3 Qur'an

To listen to the mp3 of the Qur'an, you can visit http://rosyidi.com/mp3-al-quran/ . Mp3 files of the Holy Qur'an there especially for the chapter-long chapters have been divided into several parts, to be more easily downloaded over the phone.

3. Application Collection Hadist (Prophet's word)

Saheeh Muslim

If you want to read a collection of hadith shaheh, please download the application via the following links.

  1. Sahih Muslim hadith Indonesia, download here.
  2. Hadith Sahih Muslim English, download here.

4. Prayer Time Reminder Application

Mobile Molvee

As a reminder to pray when you can use the Mobile Molvee, download here.

Mobile Molvee addition, applications can also use the Azan (Prayer's call), please download here.

5. Application Support Going home (Mudik)

In the last of Ramadan or after it Muslim people usually plan on back home to parent's home in the village or friends & family's home in another city or country. If you plan on going home / back home, you can use applications that do not get lost Compass, Compass 4.1 download application here

Travel forth would certainly be easier if we had memorized all the route-the route, but if not then memorized we can use the navigation GPS. As an alternative route if your phone does not support the GPS can use Google Maps, download the application via the address google.com / GMM.

Beneath it all, there is many Islamic application that you can use it in ramadan and in another ramadan like: Qiblah Direction (Show the direction of ka'bah in Mecca from your place) Zakah Calculator (An interactive feature to work out your contribution to charity with updated rates for gold, silver and currency), Hajj and Umrah (An easy-to-use hand-held guide that offers information on places to visit during the pilgrimage. Mozzaker (An easy way-to remember your god/Allah anytime and anywhere)

A few tips from me hopefully useful, survived the month of fasting.
